Research on the Planning Method and Strategy of Urban Wind and Heat Environment Optimization—Taking Shenzhen, a Sub-Tropical Megacity in Southern China, as an Example

The planning techniques and strategies for optimizing the urban wind heat environment are important means cities to adapt climate change at source. This study used Shenzhen, a sub-tropical megacity in southern China, as an example evaluating environment, island intensity, form, then analyzing relationships between them. results revealed high-quality area located southeast of Shenzhen that can provide high speed low temperature. Low-quality areas were central western regions less comfortable. relationship surface ventilation potential form was analyzed using linear regression Pearson correlation coefficient, showing there significant (SUHI) building density (BD) well sky view factor (SVF), also coefficient (VPC) other factors, such surface’s roughness length (RL) height (BH). showed capacity deteriorated BH RL increased. An environmentally sensitive thermal identified from which always strong (SHI) or sub-strong (SSHI) year-round. It recommended seven level one corridors nine two be formed. Additionally, optimization protective suggestions proposed city’s overall development.
